Proof of no Outstanding Debts

It is necessary to provide a proof of no outstanding debts when applying for a long-term residence permit for the purpose of doing business and a long-term residence permit for the purpose of investment.

You are considered not to have outstanding debts if you have no unpaid balance:

  • owed to a body of the Czech Customs Administration,
  • of public medical insurance contributions and penalties thereof,
  • of social security contributions and national employment policy contributions and penalties thereof.

How do you prove no outstanding debts?

  • With a confirmation issued by the Czech Financial Administration bodies, the Czech Customs Administration bodies, District Social Security Administration and your medical insurance company.
  • You must provide a proof of no outstanding debts issued by a medical insurance company only if your medical insurance is covered by the public medical insurance.
  • On the day of application, the document proving you have no outstanding debts cannot be older than 30 days.

If you are a statutory body of a business company or a cooperative, or you are a member of such statutory body, you must also provide documents proving that the business company has no outstanding debts.
